Remarks: "Bay State Ale. Circa: Mid - Late 1936. This National Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists Patents Pending and was filled by Commonwealth Brewing Corporation of Springfield, Massachusetts. This is the same package design as seen on the following page (USBC-OI 75) with, however the added "Massachusetts Permit No. M-11", printed below "Cool Before Serving" on both side panels. Since it's difficult to see on the previous page (USBC-OI 73), note also, the underline phrase "Result:A True Bay State Ale", printed within the text of the right side panel, and the IRS permit number "Permit No. U-121", printed within the text of the left side panel. This variation has a yellow, green and bold dark black enamel finish. This exceptionally fine, Grade 1/1+ example is one of only eight quality examples known to the author. Rarity Rating: R-8/R-6."
