Remarks: "ACME Englishtown Ale. Circa: Mid 1936 - 1937. This Pacific Can Company, 12 ounce container, lists no patent information and was filled by ACME Breweries of San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. This is the same package design as seen on the previous page (USBC-OI 7)with, however; the added gold enamel finish. Notice the letter "A" in "ACME", remains printed in red throughout the label design. This is the final ACME Ale package design to feature an opening instruction panel. ACME Breweries continued with their ale production in non-opening instruction containers, with strong sales for several years. This exceptionally fine, Grade 1/1+ example is one of only three quality examples known to the author, along with several lesser condition examples existing also. Rarity Rating: R-9/R-6."
